Donegal News Online…

I wonder what’s been happening with both Ocean FM and Highland Radio’s news sites? Both have been down for the last week or so. They’re obviously run by the same Micky Mouse outfit…the Donegal Post only update their internet news site once a month by the looks of it; the Democrat site is much the same. At least the Donegal Times keeps us up to date with all the planning crap…

Pervert DJ Arrested in Galway Hotel

This might be the headline in tomorrow’s newspaper, but you’ll have read it here first. You see if you’ve read my previous posts you’ll know that on-the-run DJ Small Paul, sent me an email commenting on my writings about him. Initially I wasn’t sure if it really was from him. Now that I know he was last heard of in Galway, I know it really was him. You see, through the wonders of technology, I was able to trace his IP address to the Park House Hotel, Foster Street, Eyre Square, Galway.

I’ve tipped off all my buddies in the media and in the Gardai, so hopefully they’ll finally catch this on-the-run sex fiend DJ.

If you’re reading this Mr. Dalgleish or Mr. Williams or whatever alias you’re using now…you’d better pack your bags…

Another Donegal Town News and Blog exclusive.

Fugative at Large in Galway

While I’m on the case…here’s an update from the Donegal Post:

Paedophile turns up in Galway

January 15th, 2007

Fugitive UK paedophile Alex Dalgleish - first exposed by the Donegal Post as working as a part-time DJ in the south Donegal area for two years has turned up in Galway, under another assumed name, before disappearing again.
And when his identity was discovered by flat mates in the city of the Tribes, he had already assumed another alias and was looking for a job locally.
Mixing easily with his new flatmates, he called himself ‘Calum Williams’, a variation on the Donegal name he used, ‘Paul Williams’ or ‘Small Paul’.
The convicted sex offender claimed he had moved into the area and had been working in advertising for eight years in Dublin.
A male tenant at the Galway house, who discovered Dalgleish’s sordid past said that he was “very well dressed, a smooth operator.” Dalgleish had also sought to get a utility bill changed to his new name.
While gardai in Galway were apparently aware of his presence, this paper could not confirm whether local gardai in Donegal were aware of his location.
Police across the water are still looking for him, after he failed to inform them of his whereabouts. It is understood that they will seek an extradition warrant to have Dalgleish returned to the UK.
His presence in Donegal town caused great shock, after it was discovered that he had spent time in jail for having sex with a 13-year-old girl and indecently assaulting another young girl.

Sun Shines on Small Paul…

I must have missed this article which featured in the Sun on Jan 9th. The Sun gives the former Donegal Town DJ a bad write up. It appears he was recently booted out of a house down in Galway…here’s the story:

Wanted paedo loose in Ireland

By OWEN CONLON in Dublin
and LACHLAN CARTWRIGHT in London

January 09, 2007

AN evil sex fiend named and shamed on an internet website has vanished again after being booted out of a house in Ireland.

Paedophile Alexander Dalgleish had his mug-shot posted on the UK Home Office-funded www.ceop.gov.uk/wanted in November alongside four other pervs.

Dalgleish was jailed in the UK in 2001 for having sex with a 13-year-old girl and indecently assaulting another young girl.

He was sentenced to nine months and fled to Ireland after his release.

The 35-year-old is still wanted by cops in Lancashire for failing to notify them of his whereabouts.

He moved into a house in Galway two weeks ago, using the alias “Calum Williams”.

One of Dalgleish’s former housemates said: “I didn’t actually recognise him, it was a friend of mine who recognised him.

“So I went on to the Internet and found all his details there.

“We confronted him and he denied it until I showed him the Internet.

“I said ‘Listen, I want you out, end of story’".

On Friday a shocked landlord gave the pervert his marching orders after learning of Dalgleish’s true identity.

A spokesperson for Lancashire Constabulary said they are currently preparing an extradition warrant to have Dalgleish returned to the UK.

Small Paul Hits Back…

I’m all for free speech and everyone has a right to defend themselves. Our own ‘celebrity’ DJ - Small Paul, AKA Alexander Dalgleish, was offended by my writings in ‘Donegal Town News and Blog‘ and wrote me a note:

You Really have no Idea what your all talking about, and as for tarring
and feathering??? I’d love to meet you face to face myself!… and you
can get the opportunity, but i’d suspect your just a pathetic pen
pusher thats never been outt Donegal… thats right a simple redneck
hillbilly that has no Idea what kind of stupid situations people can find
themselves in…. In my case as a matter of fact I was working in a Holiday
camp and met a girl that lied to me about her age not that it had
anything to do with any of the two faced losers that have condemed me from
the Donegal Area…. I’d like to thank the real freinds from Donegal for
being true freinds and they know who they are!!…. and a brief message
to the Donegal Post, and to all those from donegal who love Mr Brian
Cunningham From The Donegal Post and Local Dj from Ocean Fm the reason he
hated me so much and rubbished my business (The Adpad) around the
county was because on the many occasions he tried it on with me I knocked
him back several times…. and as for Daniel Browne (editor) of the
Donegal Post Daniel you havn’t written about the job offer you were so
anxious to meet me for…. thats right readers the donegal post actually
offered me a job as a sales manager…. and when I declined they sent out
there sales teams to rubbish my business (The Adpad) even further!!….
I can promise you these are not just the ramblings of a guy who is
bitter about the way he has been portraid by the people of Donegal… but
more just someone who wants to show you that all is not how it appears
in the small sleepy hamlet of Donegal Town!!

Yours Sincerely.

Alexander Colin Dalgleish..

It’s nice to know someone reads this blog, and it’s good to know that this might give a fugative a chance to clear his name. Anyways, whether it was him or not that mailed me, I guess I’ll never know.

New Year’s Eve Male Rape News Update

Breaking news for Donegal Town…Gardai have arrested a man in connection with an alleged sexual assault on a male teenager in the toilets of the Abbey Hotel in Donegal Town on New Year’s Day. The man was brought to Ballyshannon Garda Station following his arrest yesterday morning and held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984. He was later released without charge. A file is to be prepared for the DPP. The 19 year old boy was allegedly sexually assaulted in a toilet cubicle at around 2am on New Year’s Day by a man believed to be between 35 and 40 years of age.

Interesting news on the ‘alleged’ rape of some unfortunate guy in the abbey toilets. No-one is safe these days, it seems. I personally lock the door since hearing of this news.

This guy was released without charge, so we don’t know if the suspect/rapist is still at large in our community. More updates to come…

Man claims male rape attempt at New Year disco

Another festive period over with, but not without incidents…just like a scene out of prison drama OZ. Hope your New Year’s wasn’t as dramatic!

GARDAI are investigating a report about the attempted rape of a young man during a New Year’s Eve disco.

The 19-year-old claimed that the assault took place in a toilet cubicle of a hotel in Donegal town in the early hours of New Year’s Day.

The alleged victim told gardai he was in a toilet cubicle at around 2am when an older man burst in and attacked him.

Gardai confirmed they are taking the allegation seriously but declined to give further details.

It is understood the assault included an unsuccessful rape attempt.

The victim described his attacker as being aged between 35 and 40.

It was the second serious incident at the same venue over the festive season.

An 18-year-old Leaving Cert student was released from Sligo General Hospital this week after an operation for serious injuries to her left eye and face when she was struck by a flying glass while leaving the same hotel venue on St Stephen’s night.
