Fugative at Large in Galway
While I’m on the case…here’s an update from the Donegal Post:
Paedophile turns up in Galway
Fugitive UK paedophile Alex Dalgleish - first exposed by the Donegal Post as working as a part-time DJ in the south Donegal area for two years has turned up in Galway, under another assumed name, before disappearing again.
And when his identity was discovered by flat mates in the city of the Tribes, he had already assumed another alias and was looking for a job locally.
Mixing easily with his new flatmates, he called himself ‘Calum Williams’, a variation on the Donegal name he used, ‘Paul Williams’ or ‘Small Paul’.
The convicted sex offender claimed he had moved into the area and had been working in advertising for eight years in Dublin.
A male tenant at the Galway house, who discovered Dalgleish’s sordid past said that he was “very well dressed, a smooth operator.” Dalgleish had also sought to get a utility bill changed to his new name.
While gardai in Galway were apparently aware of his presence, this paper could not confirm whether local gardai in Donegal were aware of his location.
Police across the water are still looking for him, after he failed to inform them of his whereabouts. It is understood that they will seek an extradition warrant to have Dalgleish returned to the UK.
His presence in Donegal town caused great shock, after it was discovered that he had spent time in jail for having sex with a 13-year-old girl and indecently assaulting another young girl.
